About
My name is Chelsea Butler, and I am a Registered Social Worker in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Alberta.
I bring over a decade of experience providing therapy and counseling for individuals, couples, and families. Many of the people I work with are navigating the impact of chronic illness, cancer, caregiving, neurodivergence (ADHD, autism, AuDHD), childhood trauma, medical trauma (such as pregnancy, birth, health diagnoses, or systemic dismissal), as well as marriage and relationship challenges. I also support those experiencing anxiety, depression, or the stress of life transitions.

My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered. I believe you are the expert of your own story, and together we can build on your strengths while exploring new ways to cope. With compassion, inclusivity, and collaboration at the heart of my work, I bring a variety of tools and strategies to help you move toward resilience, healing, and meaningful connection.

I am also deeply passionate about advocacy and health equity. I understand that factors like gender, sexuality, race, culture, income, and location can create barriers to accessing care. Alongside therapy, I teach advocacy skills so clients can feel more confident navigating the healthcare system and standing up for their needs. Whether we are working individually or in collaboration with other professionals, my goal is to help break down those barriers and create a path toward greater well-being.
